Gerardo Mireles, PhD

Dr. Mireles is a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology with advanced training and expertise in child and adolescent psychology. He earned his Ph.D. in School Psychology from Texas A&M University, with an emphasis in Child-Clinical Psychology and Cultural/Linguistic Factors. Dr. Mireles completed a clinical child psychology internship at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children’s Hospital. Prior to beginning his internship, Dr. Mireles was employed by Baylor College of Medicine and trained at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Dr. Mireles has also delivered services at the Dallas Independent School District and the Houston Independent School District. Dr. Mireles specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of childhood disorders, including autism spectrum disorders, behavioral disorders, stress- and trauma-related disorders, developmental delays, and health-related conditions.

Tatiana Mireles

Executive Administrator

Tatiana has been with Mireles Psychological Health Services, P.A. since it opened. She has a friendly and has a warm disposition and is integral to the day-to-day functioning of the office. Tatiana has been with Mireles Psychological Health Services, P.A. since it opened. As an Executive Administrator, Tatiana conducts research, creates statistical reports and prepare agendas for management. At Mireles Psychological Health Services, P.A., Tatiana has surpassed her duties as Executive Administrator since 2017. Her dedication to the practice manifests in every aspect of her work ethic. She is known for getting things done, her punctuality, positive demeanor with both patients/clients and in personal interactions with other employees. Her passion for work is evident and infectious. She knows and understands our mission, values and shares MPHS’ vision.

Rolando A. Botello, MA

Licensed Psychological Associate

Rolando A. Botello is a graduate from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with his Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. He is a bilingual practitioner and is licensed as a Licensed Psychological Associate. Mr. Botello is experienced in providing assessment, diagnosis and brief interventions for children, adolescents, and adult populations. He provides psychological evaluations under the supervision of Dr. Mireles for various referral sources, including the Juvenile Justice System and Disability Determination Services. Mr. Botello is also a faculty member of the Psychological Sciences Department at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley where he instructs various courses, advises a student organization, and conducts research with adult populations.

M. Faustina Carrillo Cattori, MA

Licensed Psychological Associate

Maria Faustina Carrillo Cattori is a bilingual practitioner with more than 10 years of experience in the field of psychology. She graduated from Universidad de Monterrey with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She provided mental health services in Monterrey, Mexico including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Neurofeedback. Mrs. Carrillo graduated from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Psychology and has been practicing as a Licensed Psychological Associate in the state of Texas since 2017 under the supervision of Dr. Mireles. She has experience in conducting psychological evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for children with developmental disabilities. Currently, Mrs. Carrillo is working towards her Board Certified Behavior Analysis certification.

Anna L. Flores, MA

Licensed Professional Counselor

Anna Lee Flores is a graduate from the University of Texas Pan American with a Masters of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling. She became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2018 and has since worked in a variety of mental health settings, such as inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services and outpatient counseling services. She has experience in both individual and group therapy, diagnostic assessments, and has worked with all age groups. Anna provides bilingual services and her specialty areas include depression, anxiety, general mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, paranoid personality disorder, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder.

Clarissa Garcia, MEd

Licensed Professional Counselor – Intern

Clarissa Garcia graduated from The University of Texas- Pan American with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2014. She continued her education with a Master of Education in Counseling and Guidance from The University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley and graduated in 2018. She is currently licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor – Intern. She has a background in research and has co-authored multiple articles based on short vs. long-term memory and resilience among Latina/o students. Ms. Garcia has experience in providing individual counseling services for all ages. She conducts psychological evaluations for children, adolescents and adults as well as those referred by the Justice Juvenile System, Texas Workforce Solutions and Disability Determination Services under the supervision of Dr. Mireles and Ms. Kim Ngyuen-Finn, LPC-S. Specialty areas include Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder as well as behavioral and developmental disorders. Ms. Garcia is currently working toward becoming a Licensed Psychological Associate.

Kasandra Garcia Reyna, PhD

Post-Doctoral Fellow; Licensed Psychological Associate

Kasandra Garcia-Reyna graduated from the University of Texas Pan American with a Masters Degree in Counseling and Guidance in 2011. She earned a PhD. in Clinical Psychology in 2020 from Walden University. Dr. Reyna has experience in conducting full psychological evaluations, DDS evaluations, and Texas Workforce Commission evaluations. Dr. Reyna’s areas of interest include working with children and adolescents, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and working with other neurodevelopmental disorders.

Kattie Guerrero, MA

Board Certified Behavioral Analyst

Kattie Guerrero is a graduate from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with her Master of Arts in Experimental Psychology with a BCBA Track. Kattie has worked and volunteered in various settings including clinic, in-home, and state center. Kattie has worked with ages from 3 to 60 years old. She has experience in decreasing problem behavior, increasing verbal behavior, Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Discrete Trial Training (DTT), and Task analysis. She also has experience in assessing Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment Placement Program (VB-MAPP), Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS), Essentials for Living (ESL), Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA), and Functional Analysis (FAs).

Yvette Hinojosa, MA

Licensed Psychological Associate; Licensed Professional Counselor; Clinical Training Coordinator

Yvette Hinojosa is a graduate from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. She is currently licensed as a Licensed Psychological Associate and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Janet Salinas Sanchez, MS

Licensed Professional Counselor

Janet Salinas Sánchez is a graduate from the University of Texas Pan American with a Master’s of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling. Ms. Sanchez has worked in several mental health backgrounds as a Licensed Professional Counselor, making her an integral asset to our practice. Her bilingual skills make her easy to work with various populations and backgrounds. Ms. Sanchez has experience in conducting assessments, intakes and brief interventions. She also has a strong base of counseling experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a wide variety of settings. Specialty areas include depression, anxiety, general mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, paranoid personality disorder, and attention deficit hyperactive disorder.

Laura Villalobos Garza, PhD

Post-Doctoral Fellow; Community Engagement Director

Laura Villalobos Garza, raised in the Rio Grande Valley, graduated from the University of Texas-Pan American with a Masters Degree in Public Administration. She earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Forensic Psychology from Walden University in 2020. Her experience working with the adolescent population originates from teaching high school for more than 10 years. Dr. Garza has experience in conducting clinical interviews, psychological evaluations, and brief interventions. In addition, she enjoys working with multicultural populations and various age groups. Interest include military, post-traumatic stress disorder, law enforcement, personality disorders, autism, and correctional populations.

Stephanie Navarro

Clinical Support

Stephanie began working at Mireles Psychological Health Services as an undergraduate intern in 2019. She graduated from The University of Texas Rio Grande with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Addiction Studies in 2019. At MPHS, Stephanie assists employees and patients on a numerous of different tasks. Her dedication to help others is evident in all her contributions. Stephanie takes lead in MPHS’ social media and creative tasks. She hopes to continue her education at the graduate level to research psychopathology and etiology.

Ruben Nieto, MA

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Outpatient Behavioral Health Supervisor

Ruben Nieto is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who graduated from The University of Texas Pan American with his graduate degree in Experimental Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2011. Mr. Ruben Nieto serves as the Outpatient Behavioral Services BCBA Supervisor at the newly established ABA Clinic Division of, Mireles Psychological Health Services, located in McAllen, Texas. Previously he served as the Psychology & Behavioral Health Director at RGSC serving and treating adults with intellectual disabilities.
Mr. Ruben Nieto has experience working with RGV Behavioral Consultants where they worked with children with Autism, developing ABA home programs, working with severe challenging behaviors, consulting with school districts throughout the RGV on behavioral cases, conducting trainings for families and schools on Applied Behavior Analysis techniques, and has worked with Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. Additional work experience includes working in OBM (organizational behavior management), PM (performance management), and Flow & Peak Performance training.
