MPHS was founded by Dr. Mireles, a Licensed Psychologist and LSSP, from the Rio Grande Valley who wanted to bring evidence based treatment with a bilingual, bi-cultural perspective to the Valley. After studying across different settings, including Boston Children’s Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital and Houston ISD, he elected to return home and build a strong team of mental health providers to address the specific needs of children and families from the RGV.
Gerardo Mireles, PhD
Dr. Mireles is a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology with advanced training and expertise in child and adolescent psychology. He earned his Ph.D. in School Psychology from Texas A&M University, with an emphasis in Child-Clinical Psychology and Cultural/Linguistic Factors. Dr. Mireles completed a clinical child psychology internship at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children’s Hospital. Prior to beginning his internship, Dr. Mireles was employed by Baylor College of Medicine and trained at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Dr. Mireles has also delivered services at the Dallas Independent School District and the Houston Independent School District. Dr. Mireles specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of childhood disorders, including autism spectrum disorders, behavioral disorders, stress- and trauma-related disorders, developmental delays, and health-related conditions.

Tatiana Mireles
Executive Administrator
Tatiana has been with Mireles Psychological Health Services, P.A. since it opened. She has a friendly and has a warm disposition and is integral to the day-to-day functioning of the office. Tatiana has been with Mireles Psychological Health Services, P.A. since it opened. As an Executive Administrator, Tatiana conducts research, creates statistical reports and prepare agendas for management. At Mireles Psychological Health Services, P.A., Tatiana has surpassed her duties as Executive Administrator since 2017. Her dedication to the practice manifests in every aspect of her work ethic. She is known for getting things done, her punctuality, positive demeanor with both patients/clients and in personal interactions with other employees. Her passion for work is evident and infectious. She knows and understands our mission, values and shares MPHS’ vision.

M. Faustina Carrillo Cattori, MA
Licensed Psychological Associate
Maria Faustina Carrillo Cattori is a bilingual practitioner with more than 10 years of experience in the field of psychology. She graduated from Universidad de Monterrey with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She provided mental health services in Monterrey, Mexico including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Neurofeedback. Mrs. Carrillo graduated from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Psychology and has been practicing as a Licensed Psychological Associate in the state of Texas since 2017 under the supervision of Dr. Mireles. She has experience in conducting psychological evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for children with developmental disabilities. Currently, Mrs. Carrillo is working towards her Board Certified Behavior Analysis certification.
Anna L. Flores, MA
Licensed Professional Counselor
Anna Lee Flores is a graduate from the University of Texas Pan American with a Masters of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling. She became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2018 and has since worked in a variety of mental health settings, such as inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services and outpatient counseling services. She has experience in both individual and group therapy, diagnostic assessments, and has worked with all age groups. Anna provides bilingual services and her specialty areas include depression, anxiety, general mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, paranoid personality disorder, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder.
Kasandra Garcia Reyna, PhD
Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Reyna graduated from the University of Texas Pan American with a master’s degree in counseling and Guidance in 2011. She worked as a teacher for 6 years and later transitioned to an academic counselor for 7 years. Dr. Reyna has significant experience in working with school districts and has served on several committees. She earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2020 from Walden University. Dr. Reyna has experience in conducting full psychological evaluations, DDS evaluations, and Texas Workforce Commission evaluations. Dr. Reyna provides bilingual services, and her specialty areas include autism spectrum disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, depression, anxiety, general mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, paranoid personality disorder, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder. Her research includes resiliency in the Latino population.
Laura Villalobos Garza, PhD
Licensed Psychologist with Provisional Status
Laura Villalobos Garza, raised in the Rio Grande Valley, graduated from the University of Texas-Pan American with a Masters Degree in Public Administration. She earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Forensic Psychology from Walden University in 2020. Her experience working with the adolescent population originates from teaching high school for more than 10 years. Dr. Garza has experience in conducting clinical interviews, psychological evaluations, and brief interventions. In addition, she enjoys working with multicultural populations and various age groups. Interest include military, post-traumatic stress disorder, law enforcement, personality disorders, autism, and correctional populations.
Clarissa Garcia, MEd
Licensed Professional Counselor
Clarissa received her Master of Education in Counseling and Guidance at The University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley in 2018 and is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience as a psychotherapist for various populations. She specializes in working with children, adolescents and adults. She has developed experience and specialization helping clients work through anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, LGBTQIA+ issues and various transitional life difficulties. Ms. Garcia believes building a strong rapport with clients is paramount for a strong therapeutic relationship. Ms. Garcia is trained in conducting diagnostic assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as those referred by the Justice Juvenile System, Texas Workforce Solutions and Disability Determination Services under the supervision of Dr. Mireles. Specialty areas include mood disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as behavior and learning disorders.
Yvette Hinojosa, MA
Licensed Psychological Associate; Licensed Professional Counselor; Clinical Training Coordinator
Yvette Hinojosa is a graduate from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. She is currently licensed as a Licensed Psychological Associate and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Ms. Hinojosa is a bilingual clinician with experience in inpatient treatment and outpatient individual counseling, family therapy, and group therapy.
